Sue Prickett at a consultation
“I am a qualified and registered Homeopath, practicing in Meath, Bohermeen to be exact. I work fulltime as a Homeopath and work on the Committee of the Irish Society.
Up to now I have seen clients in an office in the Castle; but that will change on May 10th when we open our customised building in the Courtyard of the Castle.
I am a classically trained Homeopath.
Like with like; one remedy at a time; the minimum dose and following the Law of Cure. These are the cornerstones of good Homeopathic Practice.
I used to restore furniture. I had a famous shop in Dublin selling stripped pine, called Rough Deal.
I now restore people; much more interesting!
I also brought up three amazing children, with lots of homeopathy, which they all still use!”

“I qualified as an Amatsu therapist in 2001 and have been practising ever since. I deepened my studies in this field, training in Shinden Jutsu (organ manipulation techniques) in 2003, and Kenku jutsu (cranial techniques) in 2008. I also continuously attend more general seminars in Amatsu to keep up to date with developments in the field. Since 2001, I have been to Japan 5 times to train with doctor Masaaki Hatsumi (head of Amatsu and Bujinkan martial arts). Though the training there was essentially in the Martial sphere, the body movement and feeling developed is a skill which can equally be applied in the practise of Amatsu.
In addition to this, I have attended seminars with Thomas Myers, a structulal integration therapist (sometimes known as rolfers), and author of the book Anatomy Trains. I have also completed the first part of James Waslaski’s Orthopaedic Massage course.
In 2006 I was given license by Sifu Sam Li to teach Tai Chi after training with him for 5 years. I also attended training camps with Peter Ralston, developer of a system of martial arts, body movement, tai chi and ontology work called Cheng Hsin. My first sudies in the field of Martial arts and body movement were in the Bujinkan system however, and this has formed the core of my practise since 1994. In 2005, I was awarded 5th dan black belt, which gave me full license to teach this form.
I have also trained in Yoga and in Feldenkrais technique, to gain a deeper understanding still of body movement and awareness.
I hold a Degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Psychoanalytic Studies, and indeed worked in the care of psychiatric patients in England for a few years. Although i have not gone into this field since, these studies have often been invaluable to me as a therapist dealing with people every day.”

“I am a fully qualified and registered Nutritional Therapist, I have been practising part time from my home office in Dunshaughlin but will now also be taking consultations in the Castle Clinic. I graduated with distinction from The Irish Institute of Nutrition and Health in May 2007. Whilst training as a Nutritional Therapist I also managed a Health Store which further increased my range of knowledge on supplements and nutritious foods.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Graduate Diploma in Computing and worked in the Insurance sector for a number of years before returning to study Nutritional Therapy in 2004. I’ve always had an interest in health and fitness but initially began studying nutrition in an attempt to find solutions to my own health concerns. Having cured my constant fatigue and digestive problems through diet and lifestyle change I discovered the immense healing power of food and supplemental nutrients and very quickly realised this was the profession I wanted to pursue.
Nutritional therapy can be used to manage and treat a wide variety of conditions, such as digestive issues, high cholesterol, PMS and food intolerances, to name but a few, and can be used either alone or alongside orthodox medicines. It provides you with the necessary information to boost energy levels, eat a balanced diet, help with weight loss, improve immune function and correct vitamin and mineral deficiencies. Each consultation is tailored to the client’s individual requirements.
I am also currently studying Kinesiology as I believe it will compliment the nutrition very well and I hope to incorporate this therapy into my practise in the future.”
